Joško Viskić was born in 1984 in Split, where he finished elementary and high school. He enrolled at the School of Dental Medicine, University of Zagreb, in 2003 and graduated in 2008 as the best student of his generation. He is the winner of five Dean’s Awards and a Rector’s Award.
In 2009, he became a researcher and assistant at the Department of Fixed Prosthodontics. He enrolled in doctoral studies in 2009 and started his residency in dental prosthodontics in 2013. He defended his doctoral dissertation in March 2015. He is the author of numerous scientific and professional papers in national and international journals. He completed his specialist internship at the Clinical Department of Prosthodontics of KBC Zagreb, Croatia and passed the specialist exam in 2016. He was elected to the scientific-teaching position of assistant professor at the Institute of Fixed Prosthodontics in 2017 and associate professor in 2022.
Since 2018, he has served as the president of the Croatian Academy for Aesthetic Dental Medicine (CAADM). He is a member of the executive board of the Society for Color and Appearance in Dentistry (SCAD), members of the Croatian Dental Society of HLZ, the Croatian Society for Dental Prosthetics, the European Society for Dental Prosthetics (EPA) and the International Society for Dental Research (IADR).
He actively participated as an invited speaker in numerous international and domestic congresses and courses, and he participated in a series of continuing education courses at the Faculty of Dentistry in Zagreb. From 2018, he has annually chaired the organizing committee of the international Aesthetic Dental Moment congress.
