Buen Camino!

I’m going on a journey that I should have taken a long time ago.
We humans are known to say: “There was always something else more important…”
And then life happens and we never go on that journey or we don’t do what we’ve always wanted to do deep down in our hearts or we don’t tell someone we love them or we don’t stand up for ourselves when we should have…
The list of sins is long. There are many excuses, but few concrete steps.
Well, I ran out of excuses and made my move.
I’m going on a journey into the unknown. The Camino is calling.
But I can safely say that I’m leaving at peace with myself.
I’m leaving ready to surrender to the unknown.
Sometimes the hardest thing is to take that first step towards yourself.
I’ve also decided to step away from social media for the next month.
I won’t be here.
For the first time in 5 years, I won’t be posting my articles on Thursdays.
I’ve written over 300 of them so far.
Enough for you to get to know me and learn everything about me as a person.
For the first time after 30 years of private business, I’m taking a long vacation.
I won’t be actively involved in work – there’s my dear colleague Filip, who will take care of my emails and help me make sure that no one is deprived of communication with me and that nothing is waiting, no matter that I’m away.
I sat down and talked to all my colleagues and asked them the same thing – to help me find the business in a better state than I left it.
It’s time for me to get out of their way, and for them.
They have free hands to do the best they know how.
If something goes wrong, I’m sure everyone will work together to solve it.
If something won’t survive my absence from work, then it probably should have been dropped from the whole story.
Thank you to everyone who trusted me. I believe I will return better for myself and for you.
But I will not be available to you. You will have to do this part of the journey without me.
The only thing I need at this moment is the support of my family – which I have.
One of the ancient sentences that has always fascinated me with its wisdom, strength and beauty is this: “Lend a hand to your neighbor.”
The time has come to lend a hand to myself.
The Camino awaits me.
