“If I had known what awaited me, I’m not sure I would have become an entrepreneur”
Saša Cvetojević is a successful Croatian entrepreneur and investor, who has marked his career with numerous successful projects and investments. His business experience spans various sectors, from technology to healthcare, and his enthusiasm for electric cars is particularly notable. In a new episode of the DBL Podcast with Siniša Drobnjak, Saša shared his business journey, his entry into the world of investing, and his plans for the future.
From pinball to Insako
Saša Cvetojević began his business career during the turbulent times of the war in Croatia, while studying and working at the same time. He started with simple jobs like mowing grass and repairing pinball machines, and after a few years he started the company Insako, a company today known for its logistics solutions. As his business experience grew, Saša also collected an increasing number of projects in which he participated, which ultimately led him to become an angel investor and a member of the CRANE association. He is an investor and co-founder of numerous companies, and one of his most successful projects was investing in the startup Repsly, which resulted in a significant financial return. “Of ten startups, you usually look for one successful one. If there is more than one, that is good. For me, Repsly was that one,” Saša pointed out.
From public to private healthcare
Saša is also active in the private healthcare sector. A few years ago, he and his partners launched Futura Partners, an umbrella company that invests heavily in private clinics. He believes that private healthcare has great potential for improving the quality of services and cites the Bagatin Polyclinic as an example, which has become the leading center for cosmetic surgery in Croatia.
Tesla <3
Saša is also known as an electric car enthusiast. He is one of the first Tesla owners in Croatia and actively promotes the use of electric vehicles. His passion for electric cars is not only personal, but also professional, as he sees a great future in this technology. In one of his most interesting endeavors, Cvetojević crossed the Sahara in a Tesla, which was a unique challenge that demonstrated the capabilities of electric vehicles in extreme conditions. “I believed then, and I still believe now, that the electric car has a good future, but that the infrastructure needs to be worked on,” Saša emphasized.

When he started his business career, Saša was a young man without much experience, but with a great will to work and initiative. “With this experience, I wouldn’t have entered the mass of businesses. Because I know what regulations are, what some laws are, what I have to do, what my obligations are, what can hit me along the way,” Saša emphasized the advantage of the fact that he entered entrepreneurship perhaps a little naively. However, after 30+ years of experience, he has become an example of a successful entrepreneur who combines business success with personal passions, and who continues to share his business experience.
